Why we offer virtual consultations
Not every concern requires you to come to the clinic, and many patients value the flexibility of being able to see their doctor from home, an office, or while travelling. Online consultations let us provide the same thirty-minute, doctor-led care without the commute — useful for follow-ups, prescription reviews, mental-health support, and the routine medical questions that come up between in-person visits.
For patients living outside London, or travelling for work, the online service offers continuity with the same doctor and the same practice. Your record stays in one place, and any tests or imaging we arrange feed back into it.
What an online consultation can do
A virtual appointment can:
- Address general health concerns and provide advice
- Manage chronic and ongoing conditions
- Issue prescriptions (electronically, to your chosen pharmacy)
- Arrange blood tests, urine analysis, and imaging at our clinic or partner facilities
- Refer to specialists within our trusted Harley Street network

- Handle urgent same-day questions where physical examination is not essential
Where a hands-on examination is essential — and the doctor will tell you when it is — we will switch you to an in-person appointment, often the same day.
Privacy and security
Consultations run on encrypted video. Your record is held under the same standards as our in-person care, and is accessible to the clinical team caring for you and to no one else. We do not record consultations.
Are online consultations as good as in person?
For many concerns, yes. History-taking, advice, prescriptions, mental-health support, and management of established conditions are well-suited to video. Where a physical examination is essential, the doctor will recommend an in-person appointment — and we can usually arrange one the same day at our Harley Street clinic.
How is the consultation conducted?
After booking, you will receive a confirmation email with a secure video link. The doctor will join at your appointment time. The consultation runs for the same duration as an in-person visit (typically thirty minutes) and is fully private and encrypted.
Can the doctor prescribe medication?
Yes. Prescriptions are sent electronically and can be collected from a pharmacy of your choice, or delivered. Some controlled medications require an in-person consultation first; we will tell you if that is the case.
Can I have blood tests or scans arranged?
Yes. The doctor can arrange blood tests, imaging, and specialist referrals exactly as in an in-person consultation. Tests are conducted at our clinic or partner facilities, and results return to the same record.
Where do I need to be?
Anywhere with a private, quiet space and a stable internet connection. The service is particularly useful for patients travelling, working from home, or living outside London who want continuity with a Harley Street practice.
